How it works

  • Your child takes an initial assessment – we will help you select the correct assessments according to the subject, year group and level required
  • From the initial assessment an individual Action Plan is built which details the work required to bring your child’s skills to the desired level
  • If your child’s goal is to take the 11 Plus examination we will add in verbal and non verbal reasoning into your child’s Action Plan
  • Each of our lessons contains revision and extension work
Maths Tuition

Our assessments are planned and administered depending on the age and current Key Stage level of the child. For children KS1 and KS2 these assessments are made up of a series of tests designed to measure the degree of mathematical use and understanding. For KS3 (Year 7-9) and KS4 (Years 10-11 GCSE) we have past Year papers along with various GCSE Mathematics papers that we use to evaluate children. Based on the results that we get from these assessments we then write a personalised action plan for each child, covering areas that need revision and practice to help them achieve a higher degree of understanding and application.Children between the ages of 5 and 11 cover basic numeracy, which includes times tables, fractions, approximation, rounding up and reading graphs. We also assign regular mental arithmetic exercises every lesson for those children that need it. For students that are Keystage 3 or GCSE level, we produce personalised maths programmes for each student to work from.

For children preparing to take the 11 Plus exam, our mathematics programmes cover mathematical elements beyond Keystage 2. Nonverbal Reasoning (which is included as a part of mathematics) is also included if it is to be taken for the examination.

English Tuition

We can help improve your child’s reading, writing, spelling and comprehension skills from KeyStage 1 to GCSE (KeyStage 4) level, and we say this with confidence as over the years we have helped thousands of children do better at school.English is one of the most important core subjects at school that many children struggle with. We help to address this in a number of ways throughout our lessons.

English lessons follow our diagnostic test.

GCSE assessments consist of a recent past English exam paper from the same exam board as the one the school is working with. Another aspect of GCSE help is to develop different ways to interpret and manipulate examination questions.

Spelling Help
For children taking Verbal Reasoning in their 11 Plus examinations, many exercises rely on accurate spelling skills.
Reading Help
KS1 and some KS2 children would receive help with their phonics and word building skills, as well as simple comprehension techniques.

Due to certain circumstances we only had 3 months to prepare our son for his Medway and Kent 11 plus. Thanks to Persuade he easily passed his Medway and scored an excellent 140, 140, and 135 for his Kent test, Math’s was his weakness subject but, scored top marks!! Persuade has been truly committed and has been very professional throughout, he has enjoyed every lesson her and even looked forward to them. She has been very kind and I would totally recommend her especially for Math’s.

Many thanks Persuade.

Ms Ziki was introduced to me by a good family friend of mine when I urgently needed a tutor for my daughter. Despite the distance we had to travel, it was well worth the effort. Ms Ziki came highly recommended and it was a pleasure working with her. I found her approach professional with the parents and yet friendly, approachable with the children and she built a good rap or with my daughter. I liked Ms Ziki confidence that she had in my daughter, as well as her supportive nature. Ms Ziki kept reassuring me with any concerns raised and we got along very well. Ms Ziki is very passionate about what she does and it reflects in her tutoring, she strives to get the best out of the children and d this is very evident in her approach. My daughter gained a lot from her tutor both in the 1-2-1 sessions and group sessions. My daughter was challenged, helped, encouraged and supported right up to the end of the 11 plus exams. I liked the fact that my daughter got lots of practice with exam techniques and experiencing exam settings with mock exams. My daughter improved with each mock exam and was well supported working out any areas of weakness or challenging questions. My daughter passed her 11 plus exams Kent and Bexley, we are both grateful and appreciate all the hard work. We are excited and proud of the achieved success and working relationships. My daughter has drown very fond of Ms Ziki and vows that Ms Ziki is the best tutor any child can have and am proud she now tutoring my son.

When I first started having lessons I was alright at Math’s and not so good at English. Then as the lessons continued Miss Ziki taught me that even if you struggle never give up. I am very happy with what I have learnt. I wouldn’t have been able to do anything that I can do now. I thought the lesson was hard at first. But then everything got easier as I had more and more lessons. Miss Ziki is the best, she has helped me so much and Math’s and English have become so much easier. Even though she got frustrated at me (and my spellings) she is the best tutor anyone can ask for.
